The Paine is a preserved historic estate located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The building started construction in 1927 and was completed in 1932. The mansion is a Tudor Revival-style country estate and it’s gorgeous! It has become a staple of Oshkosh’s history and is enjoyed by visitors each year. The Paine is a public art gallery and has over 1,000 paintings and sculptures. It also hosts a variety of fun events for the community each year including the Nutcracker performance and a tulip festival. This historic mansion is surrounded by 4 acres of gorgeous gardens and it’s a spectacular site to see!
Exploring the Gardens
The gardens are remarkable at the Paine Art Center and would be perfect for your senior photography session. There are over twenty different garden areas to explore and each of them are super unique! The gardens are filled with a variety of different flowers, trees and shrubs and honestly there isn’t a bad spot haha. As you walk throughout the gardens, you’ll feel like you’re in a fairytale as you escape through the beauty each garden brings. There are some fun key features like romantic iron gateways, a gorgeous fountain, a surreal gazebo walkway that is covered in gorgeous vines, a stone pathway and so much more! And don’t forget we’ll definitely have to capture a few images of you with the mansion itself. All of the little details this building has is really unique and reminds me of English country houses.
