You’ve done it! You made it to your senior year at Omro High School and now it’s time to start planning your senior photo session. There’s a lot to think about when it comes to your senior photo session. You’ll need to think about choosing a photographer, the outfits, the locations, and so much more! But don’t worry I’m here to help! I’ve been a senior photographer for over 15 years and created a guide for you below to help you plan the perfect senior photo session.
Everything You Need to Plan Your Senior Photo Session
Hire the Right Senior Photographer
The first thing you should do is hire your dream senior photographer. It’s really important that you book your photographer early to ensure that you get the date you’re hoping for! When looking for a senior photographer it’s important to look at their work, browse their website, check out their social media accounts and send them an email asking for more information. Be sure to hire somebody who can deliver the experience you’ve always dreamed of and that goes with your vibe.
Choose Outfits That Make You Feel Incredible
The next thing you want to do is find outfits that make you feel amazing! It’s really important that you get your outfits right because they set the tone for your images. You’ll also want to have a variety of colors and styles between your outfit changes to give you more variety with your Omro High School senior portraits. I recommend choosing one outfit that’s dressy, one outfit that’s a little more casual and your last outfit should be something that feels very you. Use a Stunning Location for Your Omro High School Senior Portraits
Another important aspect of planning the perfect senior session is choosing a gorgeous location. When it comes to choosing the right location for you, think about the style of outfits you want to wear, the kinds of locations you’re drawn to or if there’s a spot that holds a lot of meaning to you. It’s also totally okay if you just know that you want a nature location or a city vibe. Your senior photographer should be able to recommend some great locations. For instance, I have countless really unique spots that I love sharing with my clients!
Include Something Meaningful and Personal
I also love recommending that seniors include something personable in their senior session. That might mean your Omro High School basketball jersey, your favorite book, or your pet dog. Just something that you really love or enjoy doing that would help make your images feel more like you. These also are super fun because they give us a chance to be creative and show off more of your personality. Think about the sports you play, the hobbies you enjoy doing and the things that mean the most to you!
Order Artwork Your Family Will Love
This is something a lot of seniors often don’t think about until later. But it’s never too early to plan in my book haha! So many seniors make the mistake of doing their session, downloading the digitals and then they forget to order artwork. You should be proud of all you’ve accomplished and you’ve invested into these gorgeous portraits. Displaying your images for family and friends to see is a great way to enjoy your images and be celebrated! You’ve worked so hard to reach this milestone, it’s time to show it off! Not only that, but you’ll feel so confident seeing yourself in this way each day when you pass your photo down the hallway.
Other Details to Think About While Planning Your Omro High School Senior Session
Here are some other random tips that most people often forget about when planning their Omro High School senior session. Don’t forget to accessorize your outfits because this will elevate your images to a whole new level. Make sure that you schedule any appointments as soon as you book your session for makeup, hair and your manicure. When getting your outfits ready for your session make sure that you cut all the takes off, steam them, and try on all undergarments before your session. And lastly, don’t wait until the last minute to book your senior session!
