Quality Over Quantity

The question I get asked the most about senior photo outfits, is how many outfits are recommended for a session. I recommend choosing three outfits for your senior photo session. Three tends to be a good number where you’re getting a lot of variety between your outfits, but you’re not spending a lot of time changing during your session. It’s a good idea to choose three amazing outfits that you feel incredible in versus six outfits that are just okay. Sometimes less is more. Go all out with your three outfits and choose accessories to match!

Color Recommendations For Your Senior Outfits

So now that you know how many outfits you’re planning for your Winneconne High School senior photos, let’s talk about colors for your outfits. Neutral colors are a good option because they’re timeless and go with literally everything. However, I’m a huge fan of color too! I love recommending earth or jewel tones as they’re more muted, carry well over time, but still add a pop of color. I would also avoid choosing super neon or vibrant colors as they tend to reflect on your skin. Another tip I suggest is just making sure that you’re choosing a variety of colors between your outfits so your photos will stand out more and they don’t all look the same.

Outfit Ideas for Stunning Senior Photos

There are so many outfit options you could choose for your portraits, but there are a few staples that tend to be good in just about any location and scenario. Choosing a cute top and pair of jeans is always a great option for your senior photos. The pants will give us a lot of posing options as we’ll be able to sit, play with pockets and so much more! Another outfit idea that photographs really well is a flowy dress. We’ll be able to capture tons of movement with the flowy skirt and they tend to be super flattering with a lot of different poses. Another option that looks great in senior photos is a skirt and cute top. I love that you can choose two different color options, patterns or even textures with this combo. It makes your outfit super interesting and gives you unlimited options!

3 Must Do Things Before Your Winneconne High School Senior Session

After you choose your outfits, there are three things you must do before your senior session. First, make sure you cut off all the tags from any new outfits. I’ve seen a few Winneconne High School seniors try ripping the tags off and then they tear their outfits. Yikes! I also recommend steaming all of your outfits so you don’t have any wrinkles. Wrinkles can give some damper vibes to even the most amazing outfit. Lastly, I recommend trying on your undergarments with all of your outfits. Make sure that everything you want hidden isn’t visible and that everything works with the outfits you have picked out.
