Your Hortonville High School senior photos should standout and be different! Think about the things that are important to you and that make you unique. Those are the things you should bring into your session to help create senior portraits that not only feel like you, but are different from everyone else’s. Your senior portraits are an expression of who you are and what better way to show that then to include all the things you love. Below are some examples of how you can personalize your senior photography session.

5 Unique Ways to Personalize Your Senior Photography Session

1.  Choose Outfits that Match Your Vibe

Your clothing and style is an expression of who you are. The easiest way to personalize your senior portraits is by including your own style into your session. Choose colors and styles that make you feel like your most confident self! And if you’re not into fashion trends, you can still choose to wear clothing that includes your favorite color, a fun pattern or style that you love. Think about the things you wear most often that bring you joy. Outfit pieces like shoes, a pair of jeans, a jacket, hat, it could literally be anything! But something that just feels very you.

2. Include Some of Your Hobbies

I would consider including at least one of your hobbies in your Hortonville High School senior photo session. Think about all the things you enjoy doing in your spare time and choose the one that has the most meaning to you. It could be something as simple as reading or as wild as fishing. There’s no wrong answer here. But these senior pictures always turn out the most original because it’s something very unique to seniors. And oftentimes we have to think of different poses for these, making your photos stand out even more!

3. Incorporate Hortonville High School Sports

If you’ve been playing sports your entire life you understand how impactful they are. It’s a great idea to bring along your Hortonville High School jerseys, sports equipment and other gear to your senior session. It doesn’t matter if you’re planning on continuing your sport after high school or not, if your sport has been a big part of your journey so far it would still be great to include! I love coming up with unique ideas for sports portraits with  my senior clients! They’re some of the most fun!

4. Choose a Location That Has Meaning

Another way to make your senior pictures stand out is to include a location that has significance to you. Does your family own property near Hortonville High School that you grew up playing on? Maybe your family owns a home on a lake nearby? Or maybe you really want to include a sunflower field because they were your grandma’s favorite flower? You could also choose something as simple as a beach because you love spending your summer on the beach. Or you could also choose a downtown vibe because you love city life. It can literally be anywhere you love, including Kwik Trip haha.

5. Bring Your Family Pet

One of my senior client’s favorite ways to personalize their senior portraits is by bringing their dog! If you have a furry best friend, don’t be afraid to bring them along for a few photos! Let’s be real, no one else is going to have the same photo with your dog as you haha. This not only will make your images more unique, but they also will hold a special place in your heart.
