Gravity Trails
Gravity Trails offers so many great adventures and things to do in Door County with kids, such as featured kayaking, E-bikes, and SUPs. It provides 300 miles of diverse shorelines, sand bluffs, cliffs, and estuaries. Other activities include sailing, marathons, and so many seasonal events! They also have featured tours such as a cave kayak tour and a shipwreck Bluffs kayak tour, which would be such a cool experience for the kids! Gravity Trails also has a Gordon Lodge restaurant, so you can stop and get a bite to eat before or after your adventure.
The Farm
Having been open since 1965, The Farm is a beautiful, family-friendly place. The location contains farm animals, natural surroundings, pioneer log buildings, farm tools, gardens, and field crops. Additionally, they provide nature trails and exhibits displaying cultural, historical, agricultural, ecological, recreational, and educational values. There’s an endless amount of things to do in Door County with kids at The Farm. A few of their activities with animals include being able to milk a goat, watch chicks hatch, and bottle-feed goat kids, lambs, and piglets.
While at the Farm, it won’t be hard to miss the newborn and newly hatched animals that come about each year throughout the season, especially with chicks hatching every day!

Cana Island Lighthouse
Cana Island Lighthouse was built in 1869 and has celebrated more than 150 years of standing watch on Lake Michigan shore. It has a variety of activities, such as hay wagon rides and the opportunity to explore the Cana Island grounds and lighthouse tower itself. As one of the tallest brick structures in Door County, the lighthouse tower has a long spiral staircase with a bird’s eye view, great for racing the kids to the top and getting a panoramic view of the shore! On the Cana Island grounds, you’ll find a few other buildings, such as the lighthouse keeper’s home, a wooden barn, an oil house, and a stone wall built in the 1920s. Cana Island Lighthouse in Door County, and the grounds are awesome for daytime adventures and viewing cool historic structures with the kids!
Hands On Art Studio

Additionally, they operate a snack shop that serves pizza, 16 Cedar crest ice cream flavors, and so much more. They also feature package deals such as a food and play package or a package that consists of your choice of three attractions for one price. Egg Harbor Fun Park is certainly a “something for everyone” option!
Cave Point County Park
Known as one of Door County’s iconic natural landscapes, Cave Point County Park features carved rock faces lining Lake Michigan. In 1943, the 19 acres that would become Cave Point County Park were first preserved. This created the fifth park established in the county. Its preservation proceeded with the formation of Whitefish Dunes State Park. Featuring naturally carved cavernous stone and dozens of underwater caverns, Cave Point County Park is well known for being a scuba diving and kayaking hotspot. In addition, it features well-maintained trails. Including a moderately difficult path that connects the park to Whitefish Dunes State Park. There are also kayak tours offered at Cave Point throughout the season. This is an awesome outdoor and hands-on experience opportunity!
Washington Island Ferry
Washington Island Ferry is just at the tip of the Door County peninsula and leads from the mainland to Washington Island and back. While the ferry trip alone is an excellent experience, Washington Island offers much more. On Washington Island, you can find hiking trails, campsites, beaches, and plenty of wildlife, as well as local shops and eateries. Washington Island is an excellent place to explore and discover new places with the kids!
