Academic Graduation Requirements for Fox Valley Lutheran
As you get ready for Fox Valley Lutheran High School graduation, it’s important that you double check all of your academic credits! To graduate you’ll need to meet the minimum requirement of 26 credits in the following classes:
- English – 4 Credits
- Fine Arts – 1 credit
- Health – .5 credit
- Mathematics – 3 credits
- Physical Ed. – 1.5 credits
- Religion – 4 credits
- Science – 3 credits (Physical Science & Biology required)
- Social Studies – 3 credits (US History & US Government required)
- Electives – 6 credits
Beyond those courses, each senior must also pass the Civics Test as well. If you’re not sure about your credits or what classes you need to complete yet, reach out to a counselor from Fox Valley Lutheran’s guidance department
Planning for College
If you’re thinking about continuing your education after high school, then you’ll need to be organized for the upcoming year! First, you’ll want to take your ACT or SAT tests early. These usually happen during the winter semester of your junior year. Make sure to do this soon just in case you have to schedule a retake. Also, submit all your college applications on time and gather any letters of recommendation that you may need. The earlier you can do this, the better. Another thing I would consider starting early is looking for scholarships. There are so many wonderful opportunities and it’s important to get a jump start with the process.
Senior Year Events and Deadlines for Fox Valley Lutheran
There are so many fun events to look forward to during your last year at Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Your senior year is about creating memories and having so many of those ‘last moments.’ Plan ahead for your last homecoming, winter dance and prom by purchasing your dress early. Don’t forget to remember these important deadlines as well. You’ll want to be sure to submit your senior photos into the yearbook on time. And lastly, make sure you order your cap and gown early just in case you have any difficulty with sizes or delivery. Steps to Planning Your Senior Photos
You’re also going to want to plan ahead for your senior photos. To plan for your session you’ll want to do the following:
1) Choose the right senior photographer
2) Book a session date
3) Choose your outfits
4) Choose a gorgeous location surrounding Appleton WI
I would recommend booking your session early in your junior year for ease of scheduling. Typically sessions are scheduled sometime between May and October to allow enough time to submit your photo into the yearbook. After scheduling your session, I would start looking for outfits right away. Choose outfits that not only fit your personality and style, but ones that will photograph well. As far as locations go, there are tons of gorgeous spots near Appleton including Bubolz Nature Preserve, Scheig Gardens and Riverview Gardens.
