5 Ways Bay Port High School Seniors Prep for Graduation Day
1. Scheduling Senior Photos
This once in a lifetime moment deserves to be preserved. One of the best ways you can save these memories is through your Bay Port high school senior portraits. It’s important to book your photographer as soon as possible to ensure that you get your photos back in time for the yearbook deadline. Typically most high schools require photos to be turned in by Halloween. It’s important to pick a photographer whose style you love and who will help you create your dream session. 2. Purchase a Cap and Gown
This monumental moment is finally here, it’s time to purchase your cap and gown! Make sure you check with student services to see what color gown you need and when the deadline for ordering your gown is. Also, don’t forget to order any cords or sashes that you may have earned through your extracurriculars or academic achievements. you’re definitely going to want to wear them and show them off during graduation!
3. Buy Your Graduation Outfit
Graduation day deserves its very own special outfit. When choosing the right outfit, you’re going to want to take a few things into consideration. For instance, the location of the ceremony is going to be a major factor. If the ceremony is indoors and the room will be air conditioned, you may want to consider either a longer dress, pants and possibly something with sleeves to make sure that you’re not too cold. If the ceremony takes place outside you’re going to want to go with something that’s more light and breathable to ensure that you’re not getting too hot. Especially when wearing your gown you don’t want to become overheated. You’re also going to want to think about your footwear because that will be most visible. If indoors, choose something comfortable and stylish that you can walk in with ease, after all the last thing you’re going to want to do is trip while on stage haha. And if outdoors choose something practical and cute! You aren’t going to want to wear heels and sink in the grass haha. Depending on the outfit, wedge sandals or birkenstocks are almost always safe bets.
4. Plan a Celebration
As you continue to plan your Bay Port High School graduation you’re also going to want to think about planning a celebration! After all, you’ve waited your whole life to get to this very moment and so it deserves celebrating! You’re going to want to think about a location for your party. Many of the common spots in the area book fast so it’s important to plan ahead. You’re also going to want to chat with your friends about their graduation party date to make sure that you don’t plan it on the same day so you can attend each other’s parties. make sure that you also think about food, games, beverages and decor! Have fun with it, after all it’s a day all about you.
5. Order Invitations
After you have your grad party planned out, you’re going to want to order invitations. You can order invites online through places like Shutterfly or Walgreens photo. Typically you’re able to customize them and add in your own senior photos. Some photographers also offer graduation invites as part of their services, which would make your life a whole lot easier with one stop shopping.
